IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 49 (1) of the Labour Relations Act, 2007, the Minister for Labour orders Messrs. National Cement Company Limited to: (a) Deduct every month the sum equivalent of two and a half per cent (2 /2%) in respect of trade union agency fees of monthly wages of employees who are covered by the terms and conditions of the concluded Collective Bargaining Agreement in force and who are not members of the Kenya Quarry and Mine Workers Union. (b) Pay within ten (10) days of the deduction, the total sums so deducted by a crossed cheque made payable to Kenya Quarry and Mine Workers Union into that union‘s account No. 0240290140552, Equity Bank, Harambee Avenue Branch, Nairobi. (c) Make returns to the Registrar of Trade Unions at P.O. Box 40326–00100, Nairobi, within one (1) month of making all the payments to the Trade Union. (d) Execute the Order to remit deductions of agency fees from the wages of employees not later than the end of next month following the month of the Order. Dated the 9th August, 2011.
