NOTICE is given that Kenya Electricity Generating Company Limited, a limited liability Company having its registered office at Stima Plaza, Phase III, Kolobot Road, Parklands, P.O. Box 47936- 00100, Nairobi in the Republic of Kenya, (―the Applicant‖), pursuant to the provisions of Section 28 of the Energy Act, 2006, will on 25th October 2010, make an application to the Energy Regulatory Commission for the Electric Power Production Licence Applications for new Power Generating Stations and for modification of some existing Licences as are more particularly described in the Schedule I hereto, in various parts of the Country and whose address is The Company Secretary Legal & Corporate Affairs Director, Kenya Electricity Generating Company Limited, Stima Plaza, Kolobot Road, Parklands, P.O. BOX 47936 – 00100 GPO, Nairobi. The grant of the licences will not have adverse effect on any Public or Local Authorities, Companies, persons or bodies of persons within the areas of production. The public or Local Authorities, Companies, persons or bodies of persons within the areas and the whole country at large will benefit from this application by production of electricity in the areas and effective regulation of the electric power sub-sector by the Regulator.
