NOTICE is given to the general public that pursuant to the Kenya Information and Communications Act, and the Kenya Information and Communications (Tariff) Regulations, 2010, PCK, a body corporate established by Postal Corporation of Kenya Act No. (3 of 1998), has applied to the Communications Commission of Kenya, for approval to revise its box rental fees and postage rates as shown below: Segment Current (Kshs.) PCK is required to offer basic postal services to all customers within Kenya including remote parts of the country as part of its Universal Service Obligation (USO). PCK cites increased cost of fuel, conveyance, printing of stamps, administration, rentals on leased operational premises, and purchase of the letter boxes as necessitating review of the tariffs. The proposed review of tariffs is likely to affect the public, local authorities, companies, persons or bodies of persons within the Republic of Kenya. Any person or local authority, company or body of persons desirous of making any representation on or objection to the proposed new tariffs must do so by a letter addressed to the Director-General, Communications Commission of Kenya, Waiyaki Way, P.O. Box 14448 Nairobi, 00800, indicating “Postal Tariff Review” on the outside of the cover enclosing it on or before the expiry of thirty (30) days from the date of this notice and must forward to PCK a copy of the representation or objection.
