NOTICE is given that the following applicants have, pursuant to the provisions of the Kenya Information and Communications Act, made applications to the Communications Commission of Kenya for the grant of licenses as appears against their respective names.

The reason for the grant of the license is to enable the applicants to operate and provide Postal/Courier and Network Facilities systems and services as indicated above. The grant of the licenses may affect public and local authorities, companies, persons or bodies of persons within the country.
Any public or local authority, company, person or body of persons desirous of making any representation on or objection to the grant of that license as aforesaid must do so by letter addressed to the
Director-General, Communications Commission of Kenya, Waiyaki
Way, P.O. Box 14448–00800, Nairobi indicating the License Category on the outside of the cover enclosing it on or before expiry of thirty
(30) days from the date of this notice and must forward to the applicant a copy of such representation or objection.

APPLICATION FOR SPECIAL LICENCE
NOTICE is given that an application under section 17 of the
Mining Act has been made by Messrs. Saharco International Group
Company Limited of P.O. Box 754300300, Nairobi, Kenya for a special licence to prospect for Iron, Copper and Titanium over an area described in the schedule hereto and the said application has been accepted for consideration.
By virtue of the above mentioned section of the Mining Act, the said area of land is therefore re-opened to prospecting and mining and by virtue of section 7 (1) (d) of the same Act, the said area of land is excluded from prospecting and or mining except as regards any prospecting and mining rights granted in respect of the area or any part thereof before the date of this notice which are subsisting or any right of renewal thereof.
Any objection to the grant of the special licence may be made in writing and addressed to the Commissioner of Mines and Geology, P.O. Box 30009–00100, Nairobi, Kenya to reach him within thirty (30) days from the date of publication of this notice.
SCHEDULE
An area of approximately 100 km situated in Malindi District of
Coast Province, delineated on Kilifi topo sheet No. SA-37-15 of scale
1:250,000 and more particularly described as follows:
Commencing at point ―A‖ grid reference FG 2468; thence on a grid bearing of 90 for a distance of approximately 10 k.m. to point
―B‖ grid reference FG 3468; thence along the sea shore to point ―C‖ grid reference FG 2650; thence on a grid bearing of 270 for a distance of approximately 2 Km to point ―D‖ grid reference FG 2450; thence on a grid bearing of 360 for a distance of approximately 18 Km to the point of commencement.

―B‖ grid reference FG 0970; thence on a grid bearing of 360 for a distance of approximately 55 km. to point ―C‖ grid reference FH 0925;
thence on a grid bearing of 90 for a distance of approximately 77 Km to point ―D‖ grid reference FH 8625; thence along the Indian Ocean to the point of commencement.
