IT IS notified for the information of the general public pursuant to Section 3 of the Transfer of Business Act, that The Heritage Insurance Company Kenya Limited, a company incorporated under the Companies Act (Cap. 486) of laws of Kenya with company number C.14130 and of P.O. Box 30390–00100, Nairobi, Kenya (the “transferor”) intends to transfer its long term insurance business (the “long term business”) to CfC Life Assurance Limited a company incorporated under the Companies Act Chapter 486 of the Laws of Kenya with company number C. 7118 and of P.O. Box 30364-00100, Nairobi, Kenya (the “Transferee”) by way of a portfolio transfer (the “Proposed Transfer”). The Proposed Transfer is subject to requisite regulatory approvals including the approval of Insurance Regulatory Authority. CfC Life Assurance Limited intends to carry out the Long Term Business at its registered address being CfC House, off Mamlaka Road, Nairobi, Kenya with effect from 1 January 2012. The address of the Transferor is P.O. Box 30390-00100, Nairobi, Kenya and the address of the Transferee is P.O. Box 30364-00100, Nairobi, Kenya. Under the terms of the Proposed Transfer, Transferee confirms that it will perform and discharge the debts and liabilities previously born by the Transferor in regards to the Long Term Business.
