PURSUANT to the provisions of section 15 (1), 16 (1) and (3) of the Rating Act, notice is given that the Municipal Council of Maua has levied a uniform rate of 4% of both improved and unimproved site value of the land appearing in the 2011 Valuation Roll. The rates became due on 1st January, 2011 and payable at the Town Hall, Maua by end of June, 2012. If any rates remain unpaid after date, interest at rate of 2% per month or part thereof shall be payable to the Municipal Council of Maua on the amount so unpaid. Rates are adebt to the Municipal Council of Maua and are charged on the land whilst every effort shall be made to deliver a demand notice to every liable owner of land within Township, but failure to receive the same shall not in any way be reason to absolve the debtor from any liability or penalty for the rates remaining unpaid after 31st December, 2012 and thereafter.
