IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred under section 25 of the Tea Act and by Regulation 4 of the Tea Nominations (Regulations) 2012, the Minister for Agriculture gives thirty (30) days notice to all Factory Organizations, Plantation Tea Producers, Registered Auction Organizers and Registered Tea Packers Organizations that meetings for purposes of nominating members for appointment by the Minister, to represent them at the Tea Board of Kenya shall be held on Wednesday, 10th October, 2012. The meetings will commence at 11.00am and end by 6.00pm at all venues. Each Nominating organization shall be represented by 1 (one) delegate at the above meeting convened by the Minister. 2. For Factory Organizations: Only a serving Director whose name appears in the official voter register shall qualify to attend and participate in the nomination process at the meeting convened by the Minister. 3. A delegate means a Director or Proprietor of a nominating organization entitled to vote in a meeting convened by the Minister under the Tea (Nomination) Regulations 2012. 4. Each nominating organization should submit the name and ID Number of the delegate who will represent them at the meeting in writing under seal/stamp by 5.00 p.m. on Friday 14th September 2012 addressed to the Managing Director Tea Board of Kenya, Tea Board House, Naivasha Rd, Off Ngong Road, P. For all nominating organizations, a delegate shall qualify for nomination as a candidate if they meet the eligibility criteria set out under Regulation 5 of the Tea (Nomination) Regulations 2012. 6. The official Voters Register will be available for inspection at the Tea Board of Kenya Offices in Nairobi, Mombasa, Embu and Kericho between 9.00 a.m. to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday from Friday 21st September 2012 to Thursday 27th September 2012.
