IN EXERCISE of the powers conferred by section 49 (1) of the Labour Relations Act (No. 14 of 2007), the Minister for Labour makes the following order: (a) That the company, Springtech (K) Limited, Popular Industries Limited; Wire Products Limited; Ocean Engineering Works Limited; Insteel Limited; Farm Engineering Industries Limited; Doshi Enterprises Limited; Mabati Rolling Mills Limited; Soni Fuel Injection Limited; Alfa Motors Limited; Sunshine Engineering Limited, to deduct from the wages of each unionisable employee who is not a member of the Kenya Engineering Workers Union herein referred to as the ―union‖, but is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement RCA No. 113 of 2011; RCA No. 270 of 2011; RCA No. 252 of 2011; RCA No. 321 of 2011; RCA No. 353 of 2011; RCA No. 329 of 2011; RCA No. 317 of 2011; RCA No. 231 of 2011; RCA No. 336 of 2011; RCA No. 103 of 2011 and RCA No. 322 of 2011, signed between the company and the union, a sum equal to two per cent (2%) of each employees basic pay per month. (b) Deduction to commence within thirty (30) days of receiving the Order. (c) To remit within ten (10) days the sums deducted under item (a) by crossed cheques made payable to the union into the union’s account No. 0100–257–912–002 at the Standard Chartered Bank Limited, Kenyatta Avenue Branch, Nairobi.
