THE CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETIES ACT

(Cap. 490)

REGISTRATION

WHEREAS I am of the opinion that Riakanau Farmers Co- operative Society Limited (CS/1692) should be dissolved pursuant to section 62 (1) (h) and (c) of the Co-operative Societies Act, I cancel the registration of the said society and order that it be liquidated. Any member of the society may within thirty (30) days from the date of this order appeal to the Cabinet Secretary responsible for co- operative development against the order. And further, pursuant to section 65 of the said Act, I appoint (1) Joseph K. Mwangi, Deputy Commissioner for Co-operative Development, of P.O. Box 40811-00100, Nairobi, (2) Joseph K. Njoroge, Sub-County Co-operative Officer, of P.O. Box 1, Kithimani, to be liquidator for a period not exceeding one year and authorize them to take into their custody all the properties of the said society including such books and documents as are deemed necessay for the completion of the liquidation.
