G.zETTE NOTICE No. 3894 THE WATER ACT (No. 8 of 2002, section 107) COAST WATER SERVICES BOARD PUBLIC CONSULTATION NOTICE is given to the general public in the area of Coast Water Services Board which has a license to provide water services in the counties of Mombasa, Kilifi, Kwale, Taita Taveta, Tana River and Lamu has applied to the Water Services Regulatory Board for a regular tariff review for the bulk system and its agents namely; Mombasa Water and Sanitation Company Limited (MOWASSCO), Malindi Water and Sewerage Company Limited (MAWASCO), Kilifi-Mariakani Water and Sewerage Company Limited (KIMAWASCO), Kwale Water and Sewerage Company (KWAWASCO), Tavevo Water and Sewerage Company Limited (TAVEVO) and Lamu Water and Sewerage Company Limited (LAWASCO) for the period 2016/17 to 2019/20 financial years. Coast Water Services Board proposes an upward tariff review for its WSPs to enable them attain full cost recovery, undertake minor investments and meet the conditions for improving service delivery. The Coast Water Services Board proposes to adopt rising block tariffs for all consumers except water kiosks. Details of the current and the proposed tariffs can be obtained from: info @cwsb.go.ke or at respective WSPs offices. Written comments on improvements on service delivery and/or justified objections to the upward tariff review should be addressed to the WSP Managing Directors and the CEO, CWSB, P.O. Box 90417-80100, Mombasa or info@cwsb.go.ke. The closing date for such comments shall be on 22nd May, 2017. Public consultation meetings shall be held as per the schedule below starting at 9.00 am.
