GAZETTE NOTICE NO. 8999

PURSUANT to the Statute Law (Miscellaneous Amendment) Act, 2014 amending the Legal Education Act (No. 27 of 2012), it is notified for general information that: 1. Candidates who qualified for registration into the ATP programme from licensed Legal Education providers or duly recognized//foreign universities, or those desirous of re-sitting the examination or those who had deferred from previous series of the examination and intend to sit for the November 2017 Bar Examination are notified to register for the same examination. 2. Registration for the November, 2017 Bar Examination series will commence on Monday, 4th September, 2017, at 8.00 a.m. to Friday, 29th September, 2017, at 5.00 p.m. 3. All candidates must complete the appropriate registration Form and attach certified copies of the requisite documents. 4. The Department of Examinations operates under very strict timelines to ensure that internal administrative processes take place without compromising the integrity and professionalism of the Examinations. As such, candidates must follow the timelines allocated for registration and other examination processes. Take notice that no registration form will be accepted after the deadline. 5. Relevant information on the Bar Examination including application forms, fees and process of registration can be accessed from the Council website at www.cle.or.ke. Candidates’ attention is drawn to the Students Guide to the Bar Examinations (Re-published in February, 2017).
