ACT
IT IS notified for the information of the general public that pursuant to article 176 of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010 as read together with section 12 (1), (2) and (3) (d) of the County Government
Act, 2012 and sections 8, 9, 46 and the First Schedule of the County
Assembly Services Act, 2017, the Narok County Assembly Service
Board invites applications from interested and qualified persons being one man and one woman, to serve as members of the County
Assembly Service Board.
Section 12 (3) of the County Government Act as amended by section 46 of the County Assembly Services Act provides as follows:
The Board consists of—
(d) One man and one woman appointed by the county assembly from amongst persons who are experienced in public affairs, but are not members of county assembly
Pursuant to section 12 (3) (d) of the County Government Act, 2012 and sections 8, 9 and 46 of the County Assembly Services Act, 2017 the applicant must fulfil the following requirements—
(a) must not be a member of county assembly;
(b) must be a Kenyan Citizen;
(c) holds a Degree from a University recognized in Kenya;
(d) has at least ten (10) years experience in public affairs;
(e) meets the requirements of leadership and integrity in Chapter
Six of the Constitution of Kenya, 2010.
Persons interested in filling the above positions should submit an application letter, detailed curriculum vitae and certified copies of relevant academic and supporting documents.
In addition to the requirements above, all applicants are required to obtain and submit certified copies of the following documents—
(a) current Certificate of Good Conduct from the National Police
Service;
(b) current Compliance Certificate from the Higher Education
Loans Board;
(c) current Clearance Certificate from a registered Credit
Reference Bureau;
(d) current Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue
Authority;
(e) valid Clearance Certificate from the Ethics and Anti-
Corruption Commission; and
(f) national ID or Passport.
Candidates with foreign degrees must obtain accreditation from the
Commission of Higher Education of Kenya.
The applications should be delivered to the Office of the Clerk of the County Assembly at County Assembly Buildings, Narok not later than 5.00 p.m. on Wednesday, 4th October, 2017. Applications received after the stipulated date and time will not be accepted.
Applicants are advised to sign the register at the Clerk’s office indicating the date and time when the applications were received.
