PURSUANT to the provisions of section 25 of the Competition Act, ("the Act"), the Competition Authority of Kenya notifies the public that the lnstitute of Certified Public Secretaries of Kenya has made an application secking excmption to issue fee guidelines for Govemance Audit Service for a period of ten (10) ycars. Issuance of fee guidelines if not exempted would constitute a breach of section 2l of the Competition Act. l. The proposed conduct is ofthe following nature: (a) All Certified Public Secretaries providing Governance Audit Service will be bound by Govemance Audit Fees Guidelines issued by the Institute. (b) The Institute will issue the said Guidelines after determining the fair Professional Fees for each subsector of the economy. (c) The Institute will monitor prevailing conditions and issue revised Fce Guidelincs as and when there is need for a period of ten (10) years. All interested parties are required to submit any written representations, if any, with regard to this application within thirty (30) days of the publication of this notice.
