SETTLEMENT

IT IS notified for general information pursuant to section 39 the Competition Act, 2010 (“the Act”), that the Competition Authority of Kenya (“the Authority”) initiated investigations pursuant to section 55 (a) (i) of the Act against Artcaffe Coffee & Bakery Limited (Company) and has entered into a settlement agreement with the company pursuant to section 38 of the Act on the following terms: (a) The company settled the matter by payment of Kenya Shillings seventy thousand and ninety seven and fifty cents (Kshs. 70,097.50); and THE KENYA GAZETTE 26th October, 2018 3780 3780 (b) The Company gave a written undertaking vide the settlement agreement to in future refrain from engaging in any conduct that is in contravention of the Act.
