ESTABLISHMENT

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 116 of the County Governments Act which provides that, “a county government and its agencies shall have an obligation to deliver services within its designated area of jurisdiction.”, I, Major (Rtd) Dr. Dhadho Gaddae Godhana, notify the general public that I have established Tana River County Strategic Development Unit (“SDU”) consisting of the persons named below: (a) The Governor who is the Chairman of the SDU. (b) The County Secretary. (c) The Chief of Staff. (d) The Chief Officer in the Office of the Governor (e) All Directors in the Office of the Governor. (f) All Advisors of the Governor. SDU will be domiciled in the office of the Governor with the following terms of reference: (a) Aligning the Governor’s manifesto to the County Integrated Development Plan. (b) Receiving monthly reports from all departments of the County Government. (c) Delivering on special programs and flagships in the Governor’s office. (d) Conducting regular field and site monitoring for programs- special interest programs/pilots once a month. (e) Advising the Governor on immediate intervention areas for urgent action.
