Report for the above proposed project The proponent, Athi Water Services Board, is proposing to rehabilitate and expand Machakos Sewerage System. The project will comprise; construction of INo. trickling filter waste water treatment plant with a capacity of 12,500m3/day (along river Ikiwe), 65 km trunk and lateral lines within Machakos Town and its environs, 4No. sanitation blocks, rehabilitation of existing sewer lines, sewer exhauster truck and '2000No. individual connections in Machakos County. The proponent, Kenya Electricity Generating Comiany PLC, is proposing to construct a 50 MWe geothermal wellhead power generation units' project at the Olkaria Geothermal Field. The project will comprise of 'the following; production wells, separator station, reinjection wells, short steam pipelines within, the wellpad, portable Wellhead generators,, turbines and cooling towers, containerized substation switch-gear, and 11/13 KY power evacuation line and other associated facilities and amenities. The project is located on plot L.R. No. 2881/6 in Naivasha Sub-county, Nakuru County.
