GAZETTE NOTICE NO. 1

NOTICE is given of the intention of The Jubilee Insurance Company of Kenya Limited ("JICKL") having a registered office at Jubilee Insurance House, Wabera Street, Nairobi and of P.O. Box 30376-00100, Nairobi, Kenya, to apply to the Insurance Regulatory Authority for its approval pursuant to section 113 of the Insurance Act, Cap. 487, to the transfer ("Transfer") by JICKL of all those medical insurance policies issued by JICKL in relation to its medical insurance business to Jubilee Health Insurance Limited ("JMEDL") having a registered office at Jubilee Insurance House, Wabera Street Nairobi and of P.O. Box 6694-00100, Nairobi, Kenya, such transfer to take effect from the 3Ist December, 2018 (now past), of all those insurance policies issued by JICKL in relation to its medical insurance business subsisting at that date. Copies of the documents setting out particulars of the proposed Transfer and a copy of the proposed Conditional Portfolio Transfer Agreement relating thereto as approved by the Insurance Regulatory Authority are available for inspection at the registered office of JICKL, its branches, the Insurance Regulatory Authority (IRA) and 4704 THE KENY A GAZETTE 29th November, 2019 (i) by-laws; (ii) working, financial conditions, governance structures; and (iii) the conduct of management committee, past or present members or officers of (CS/6749) Ndetika Rural Sacco Society Limited and in accordance with section 58 as read together with section 73 of the Co-operative Societies Act, Cap. 490 Laws of Kenya. Now therefore, I authorize (1) Phillips Koremo, Chief Co- operative Officer, Headquarters and (2) Lawrence Magaju, Co- operative Auditor I, Tharaka Nithi County, to hold an inquiry within fifteen (15) days with effect from the 25th November, 2019, at such place and time as may be expedient and duly notified by them. The attention of all officers and members of the Society is directed to the following sections of the Co-operative Societies Act.
