PURSUANT to regulation 21 of the Environmental Management and Co-ordination (Impact Assessment and Audit) Regulations, 2003, the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) has received an Environmental Impact Assessment Study Report for the above proposed project. The proponent, National Water Harvesting and Storage Authority, is proposing the development of Londiani Dam Water Project (Dam Construction and Laying of Water Distribution Pipe System) to supply potable water and replace pump fed water service schemes that are not sustainable due to high cost of electricity located in Londiani Sub- County, Kericho County.
