The following are the key highlights of tthe swearing-in ceremony: 1. The Governor-elect and Deputy Governor-elect took and subscribed to the Oath of Office as prescribed in the First Schedule of the Act. The Governor-sleet also signed a certificate of inauguration. 2. Upon taking the Oath of Office, the Governor and Deputy Governor also signed the Leadership and Integrity Code for State Officers pursuant to section 40 of the Leadership and Integrity Act as 7th October, 2022 THE KENYA GAZETTE 7587 read together with Regulation 34 (2) of the Leadership and Integrity Regulations, 2015, Laws of Kenya. 3. The Governor then gave his inaugural speech. 4. The event was graced by H.E. the Deputy President-elect, Hon. Rigathi Gachagua.
