PURSUANT to Regulation 21 of the Environmental Management and Co-ordination (Impact Assessment and Audit) Regulations, 2003, the National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) has received an Environmental Impact Assessment Study Report for the above proposed project. The proponent, Vendome Realty Limited, proposes to develop a residential apartments comprising of 2No. of basements, ground floor and 19No. of floors with a total of 244 units (8No. one bedroom, 2No. two bedroom and 4No. of three bedroom). Other features of the project include swimming pool, gym, multifunctional room, property room, and other associated facilities and amenities on Plot L.R. No. 1/776 and 1/778, along George Padmore Road, Kilimani, Nairobi City County. No. 1/413 (Original No. 1/23/2) along Chania Avenue, off Ring Road Kilimani, Kilimani Area, Nairobi City County. A dedicated transformer for the entire project shall be a consideration. • Alternative power sources (solar) shall also be installed for lighting and heating. Oil pollution • Proper storage, handling and disposal of new oil and used oil wastes as per waste regulations. • Provide oil interceptors along the drains leading from car park and potentially oil risk areas.
