AUTHORIZATION

PURSUANT to the provisions of section 46 (6) (a) (ii) of the Competition Act, 2010 (the Competition Act), it is notified for general information that in exercise of the powers conferred upon the Competition Authority of Kenya by section 46 (1) of the Competition Act, the Competition Authority of Kenya has authorized the proposed transaction as set out herein on condition that Spire Bank Limited shall pay redundancy benefits to both its unionized and non-unionized employees in compliance with the provisions of the Employment Act No. 11 of 2007 in the event that Spire Bank Limited undertakes voluntary liquidation after the completion of the proposed transaction.
