THE ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT AND CO-ORDINATION ACT

PURSUANT to express and implied powers conferred by section 29 of the Environmental Management and Co-ordination Act, the Governor of Garissa County constitutes the persons named hereto, to be members of the Garissa County Environment Committee: Under section 29 (2) (a)— The County Executive Committee Member in charge of Environmental matters in Garissa County who shall be the Chairperson Under section 29 (2) (b)— County Director of Environment, National Environment Management Authority who shall be the Secretary Under section 29 (2) (c)— One representative for each of the Ministries responsible for the matters specified in the first schedule at the County level Under section 29 (2) (d)-(g)— Members: Omar Sadik Mohamed, Amina Issa Abdi, Mohamed Adow Iman, Fatuma Kinsi Abass, Yussuf Mohamed Abdullahi, Abdikadir Aden Hassan.
