NOTICE is given that Orpower 4 Inc., a limited liability company incorporated in the Cayman Islands, British West Indics and having a place of business at Lakeview Estatc, Naivasha, P.O. Box 1566, Naivasha, Kenya the (“Applicant”), will, within a period of thirty (30) days following the cxpiry of sixty (60) days from the date of publication of this notice and pursuant to the provisions of scction 5 of the Electric Power Act, apply to the Electricity Regulatory Board, for a licence to gencratc and suppiy cicctrical energy in bulk to the Kenya Power and Lighting Company Limited (“K.P.L.C.”). The purpose for which the licence is required is to cnable the applicant to gencrate and supply clectrical cnergy in bulk to K.P.L.C. for gencral supply. The gencrating station and associated works (the “plant”) will be located on a site within Olkaria II] geothermal resources arca as declarcd by the Ministcr for Energy pursuant to Legal Notice No. 16 of 1999 and more particularly delincated in red on the survey plan (drawing No. V865/B/1) held at the offices of the applicant. The generating system will be a gcothermai power station which will be capable, whcn completed and subject to stcam availability, of gencrating a net clectrical output of up to 100 MW. Copics of the draft licence to be applicd for and of the licence when granted and of the site boundary plan showing the arca of the proposed works may be inspected by the public during busincss hours at Queensway House, 7th Floor, Kaunda Strect, P.O.
