PURSUANT to section 53 (9) of the Advocates Act and rule 12 (1) of the Advocates (Complaints Commission) Rules, 1991, it is notified for general information that between ist April, 1998 and 30th June, 1998 the Complaints Commission received a total of one hundred and ninety-one (191) new complaints of professional misconduct or otherwise against advocates and firms of advocates and that in the same period cumulatively one hundred and ninety-six (196) were disposed off, and that one thousand eight hundred and thirty-one (1831) remain pending.
