Gazetre Notice No. 3999 THE WEIGHTS AND MEASURES ACT (Cap. 513) Notice TO TRADERS AN inspector of weights and measures will open stamping stations at the places, indicated hereunder for the purpose of assizing and stamping traders’ weighing and measuring equipment on the dates shown. All traders within a radius of twenty (20) kilometres of the places mentioned are required under the provisions of the Weights.and Measures Act, to produce to the inspector, weights, measures, weighing or measuring instruments which are in use for trade for assize and stamping. Only instruments which, by reason of their being permanently fixed or of their delicate construction, cannot be conviniently moved and any weighing instruments the weighing capacity of which exceeds 500 kg. will be assized in situ. Traders in possession of such 31st July, 1998 instruments may comply with this notice by notifying the inspector in writing as to the type, capacity and location of the instruments at least three days in advance of the date on which assize of the instruments fall due as is notified hereunder.
