PURSUANT to section 205 (1) of the Local Government Act, the County Council of Mwingi, gives notice to its inhabitants that the undermentioned by-laws have been approved by the Minister for Local Authorities. (a) The County Council of Mwingi (Licensing of Premises and Trades) By-laws, 1998. (b) The County Council of Mwingi (Refuse, Respectacles and Collection) By-laws, 1998. (c) The County Council of Mwingi (Licence to Travelling Wholesalers) By-laws, 1998. - (d) Tag, County Council of Mwingi (Public Markets) By-laws, (e) tae County Council of Mwingi (Hides and Skins) By-laws, 8. ‘(f) The County Council of Mwingi (Hawkers) By-laws, 1998. (g) The County Council of Mwingi (Quarrying) By-laws, 1998. The above by-laws are now legal instruments for the purpose of regulating and controlling the operation of activities pertaining to the said by-laws. Gazerre Noticr No. 4116 THE RATING ACT (Cap. 267) THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF EMBU Levy oF AREA RATES PURSUANT to the provisions of section 5 (1) of the Rating Act, notice is given that the County Council of Embu, has wit the approval of the Minister for Local Authorities levied rates as follows: (a) An area rate of KSh. 10 per acre per year on gazetted forests. (b) An area rate of KSh. 10 per acre per year on all council land being utilized by the Government. (c) An area rate of KSh. 500 per acre per year on all council _ lands being utilized for commercial and industrial purposes. (d) An area rate of KSh. 500 per parcel per year on all industrial and commercial private lands. (e) An area rate of KSh. 200 per year on all private commercial and village plots. (f) An area rate of KSh. 200 per plot per year on ail private residential plots (land).
