THE following notes are for the guidance of persons sub.
mitting “copy” for. inclusion in the Kenva Gazette, Supplement, etc.
(t) The Kenva Gazeite contains notices of a general nature which: do not affect legislation. They are, therefore, sub- mitted to the Government Printer directly.
°(2) Legislative Supplement contains Rules and Regulations which are issued. by the central Government. Because of this they must be submitted to the Government Printe- through the office of the Attorney-General.
. 3) Bill Supplement ‘contains Bills which are for introduction in the National Assembly.
(4) Act Supplement contains Acts passed by the National
Assembly.
Ail’ ‘copy’: submiltted for publication should be prepared on one side of an A4 sheet no matter how small the notice is, each page bemg numbered, and should be typewritten with double spacing. Copy should be clear, legible and contain no alteraitions, Particular, attention should be paid to the following points:
@® ‘Signature must be supported by rubber stamping or typing the name of the: signatory in capital letters, (ii) Dates must be correct and filled in where necessary.
(iti) Care should be taken to ensure that all headings to notices and references to legislation are up. to date and conform with the Revised Edition of the Laws of Kenya.

"TD 40, (1) Communications for the Kenya Gazette should reach the Government Printer not later than 9 a.m. on: Friday of the -weck before publication is desired. The Governmen:
- Printer --wilt “not: publish communications received after that hour until the next subsequent issue of the Gazette.
(2) Ministries will be required to pay for the Kenya Gazette and to meet the cost of advertising in’ it.
- (3) It_will facilitate work at the Press if Permanent Secnetaries wifl forward Gazette notices to the Government Printer in time.
It is emphasized that these notes are for guidance only, but it is requested that persons submitting copy for publication first satisfy themselves, that such copy is complete in every respect.”
