WHEREAS pursuant to section 65 (1) of the Co-sperative Societies Act, I have received applications by three-fourth of the members of the Chuka Farmers Co-operative Society Limited. ‘And whereas I am of the opinion that the said society should be dissolved. Now therefore pursuant to section 65 (1) of the said Act, I cancel the registration of the society and order that it be liquidated. Any member of the said society may within two (2) months of the date of this order, appeal to the Minister for Co-operative Development against the order. If no such appeal is presented within the time the order shall take effect upon the expiry thereof. ‘And further pursuant to section 69 of the said Act, I appoint Messrs. Wachira Irungu & Associates, Certified Public Accoun- tants, P.O. Box 46671, Nairobi, to be liquidator and authorize them to take into their custody all the -property of the society including such books and documents as are deemed necesssary for completion of the liquidation. , 1998.
