THE following notes are for the guidance of persons sub- mitting ‘ “copy” for inclusion in the Kenya Gazette, Supplement, () The Kenya Gazette contains notices of a general nature which do not. affect legislation. They are, therefore, sub- mitted to the Government Printer directly. (2) Legislative Supplement contains Rules and Regulations which are issued. by the central Government. Because of this they must be submitted to the Government Printer through she offic¢ of the Attorney-General. (3) Bill Supplement contains Bills which aré for introduction .. in the National Assembly. (4) Act Supplement contains Acts passed by the National Assembly. Atl “copy” submitted for publication should be prepared. on one side of an A4 sheet no matter how small the notice is, each page bemg numbered, and should be. typewritten... with double spacing. Copy should be clear, legible and contain no alterations, Particular attention should be paid to the following points: (i) Signature must be supported by rubber stamping or typing the name of the signatory in capitat letters. (ii) Dates must be correct and filled in where necessary. (iii) Care should be taken to ensure that all headings to notices and references to legislation are up to date and’ conform with the Revised Edition of the Laws of Kenya. Extract PROM Ti Cope OF REGULATIONS, SECTioN D— Kenya Gazette “Dp 40, (1) Cottimunications for the Kenya Gazette should reach the Government Printer not later that 9 a.m. on Friday Of the week before publication is desired. The Government ‘Printer will not publish communications received after that ‘four until thé next subsequent issue of the Gazette. (2) Ministries will be nequited to pay for the Kenya Gazette and to meet the cost of advertising in it. (3) It will facilitate work at the Press if Permanent Secretaries . will forward Gazette notices to the Government Printer in time.
