THE LAND REGISTRATION ACT

REGISTRATION

WHEREAS Lamu Estate Agency Limited, of P.O. Box 34–80500, Lamu in the Republic of Kenya, is registered as proprietor of leasehold ownership interest of all that piece of land containing 7395 hectares or thereabout, known as L.R. No. 12852/342, situate in Mokowe in Lamu District, registered as CF. 31495, and whereas the land register in respect thereof is lost or destroyed and efforts made to locate the said land register have failed, and whereas the owner has executed a deed of indemnity in favour of the Government of the Republic of Kenya, notice is given that at the expiration of sixty (60) days from the date hereof provided no valid objection has been received within the period, I intend to proceed with the registration of the said instrument of indemnity and reconstruct the deed file as provided under section 33(3) of the Act.
