THE BLIJE ECONOMY IMPLEMENTATION COMMITTEE APPoINTMET.IT It is notified for information of the general public that His Excellency the President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in- Chief of the Defence Forces has established a Committee to be known as the Blue Economy lmplementation Committee. l. The Committee shall comprise the following- General Samson Mwathethe, Chief of Defence Forces- (Chairperson); Members Principal Secretary, State Department for Fisheries and Blue Economy; Principal Secretary, State Department for Maritime and Shipping Affairs; Principal Secretary, National Treasury; Principal Secrewy, State Department for Transport; Principal Secretary, State Department for Environment; Senior Advisor, International Relations and Social Sector, Executive Office of the President. Mrs. Ruth Kagia; Economic Advisor, Executive Office of the President, Dr. Eric Aligula; and Secretary, Kenya Intemational Boundaries Offrce, Ms. Juster Nkoroi. 2. The Terms of Reference of the Committee are to- (a) co-ordinate and oversee the implementation of the prioritized programs; and (b) preparc and submit monthly reports to H.E. the President on the progress of implementation. 3. The Term of Office The Committee shall remain in the office for a. period of six (6) months or for such longer period as H.E. the President may decide. 4. Co-option The Committee may co-opt other members it may deem necessary to support implementation of its functions. 5.
