GAzEI ih NOTICE No. 4428 MINING ACT (No. 12 of 2016) TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF PROCESSING OF-APPLICATIONS FOR MINERAL RIGHTS PURSUANT to section 12 (1) of the Mining Act (No. 12 of 2016), notice is given of the coming into force of the Mining Act (No.12 of 2016) on the 27th of May, 2016. Consequently, processing of pending applications and applications made on or after the 27th of May 2016 is temporarily suspended to await' the constitution of the Mineral Rights Board as per section 30 of the Act. In the meantime, all holders of Mineral Rights whose licences have expired or due for renewal are advised to continue with their activities as per their work programs and in inconformity with the law pending further communication from the Ministry.
